RabaTEENS is a nurturing space for deep and meaningful Islamic spiritual mentorship with compassionate and caring mentors. We design fun, creative, and positive educational experiences to help teens grow confidently and comfortably into their faith.

Class Description

A Journey with Hadith Jibril will explore one of the most important teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — Hadith Jibril — which beautifully summarizes the essence of Islam in just a single conversation. In this beautiful and blessed conversation, Angel Jibril (AS) asked Prophet Muhammad ﷺ  about Islam, Iman, Ihsan, and the signs of the Hour.

In this course, students will learn about the five pillars of Islam, the six pillars of faith, and the inspiring concept of ihsan (excellence), connecting belief, practice, and spirituality in everyday life. Students will not only understand the hadith but also see how it guides them in building a strong identity, deepening their faith, and bringing excellence into their school, family, and personal lives.

Hadith Jibril, the "foundation of the religion," provides a holistic framework for students to understand the essence of Islam in a way that is clear, engaging, and practical. Together, we will reflect on how to live with confidence as young Muslim women, inshaAllah.

Class Outline

Week 1:  Introduction to Hadith Jibril

In the first week, students will be introduced to the story of Hadith Jibril, beginning with the arrival of Angel Jibril (AS) in the form of a man. Together, we will reflect on why this hadith is considered central to Islam and how it provides a complete framework for faith, practice, and spiritual excellence.

Week 2:  Islam – The Five Pillars

This week, we will focus on the five pillars of Islam: shahadah, salah, zakah, sawm, and hajj. Our discussions will include practical applications, such as common struggles with prayer, fasting, and other practices, as well as tips to overcome these challenges and strengthen consistency.

Week 3:  Iman – The Six Articles of Faith

Students will explore the six articles of faith: belief in Allah ﷻ, the angels, the revealed books, the messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree. We will examine how these beliefs provide spiritual grounding, strengthen resilience, and help shape a confident Muslim identity.

Week 4:  Ihsan – Spiritual Excellence

We will discuss the Prophet’s ﷺ  description of ihsan: “to worship Allah as if you see Him…” Students will engage in conversations about sincerity, mindfulness, and character development. We will also look at real-life applications of ihsan, including how to bring excellence into schoolwork, friendships, and family life.

Week 5:  Signs of the Last Day

In the final week, students will study the signs of the Last Day, both minor and major. We will reflect on what responsibility we carry as Muslims today in preparing for the Hereafter, and how this awareness can inspire us to live with purpose and accountability.
