Advice for Life from the 40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi
Fall 2026
RabaTEENS is a nurturing space for deep and meaningful Islamic spiritual mentorship with compassionate and caring mentors. We design fun, creative, and positive educational experiences to help teens grow confidently and comfortably into their faith.
Advice for Life from the 40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi invites Muslim teen girls to discover how the words and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ can speak directly to their lives today. Through selected hadith from Imam Nawawi’s celebrated collection, students will explore foundational lessons about intention, faith, character, mindfulness of Allah ﷻ, and what it means to live with sincerity and purpose. They will see that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from more than 1,400 years ago remain deeply relevant to the questions, choices, and challenges young Muslims experience today.
Throughout the five weeks, students will connect each hadith to real-life experiences, from navigating social media and comparison to dealing with mistakes, guilt, relationships, and questions of confidence and trust in Allah ﷻ. Rather than simply learning what each hadith means, students will consider how its message can become a practical framework for their everyday choices and help them distinguish what is truly rooted in their Deen. Through reflection and discussion, the class aims to strengthen students’ connection with Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and help them find comfort, confidence, and timeless guidance in his words.

Week 1: Intentions (Hadith 1)
Students will explore the hadith, “Actions are judged by intentions,” and learn about the importance of sincerity and its effects on our deeds. They will also discuss what this hadith does not mean, including why a good intention does not make something prohibited permissible.
Week 2: Islam, Iman, and Ihsan (Hadith 2)
Students will explore Islam, iman, and ihsan and what each entails. They will reflect on these dimensions of faith and how growing in them is part of our lifelong journey as Muslims.
Week 3: Leaving That Which Does Not Concern You (Hadith 12)
Students will explore how this hadith can help cultivate greater peace of mind, intentionality, and focus. They will consider its relevance to modern life, including social media, comparison, and the many things competing for their attention.
Week 4: Good Character (Hadith 18)
Students will explore the meaning of taqwa, how to respond constructively after making a mistake without becoming consumed by guilt, and how the way we treat others is connected to our faith.
Week 5: Be Mindful of Allah ﷻ, and He Will Take Care of You
Students will explore the advice Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave to the young Abdullah ibn Abbas and consider how it can guide their own lives. They will reflect on how mindfulness of Allah ﷻ can strengthen their confidence, reliance on Him, and ability to navigate life's challenges.
