RabaTEENS is a nurturing space for deep and meaningful Islamic spiritual mentorship with compassionate and caring mentors. We design fun, creative, and positive educational experiences to help teens grow confidently and comfortably into their faith.

Class Description

What did the Prophet ﷺ  teach us about sleep, nutrition, stress, hygiene, and emotions — and how can teens follow in his footsteps today? This fun and interactive five-session course explores how the daily life of the Prophet ﷺ  offers a powerful blueprint for teen wellness — physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Students will learn how to care for their mind, body, and soul through sunnah habits, emotional tools, and real-life applications.

Topics include physical health, emotional self-regulation, hygiene and puberty, friendships, screen time, and spiritual practices for inner peace. This class blends stories from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ  with psychological insights and medical facts. Teens will leave inspired, grounded, and empowered in their Muslim identity, equipped with tools to find purpose and peace in a fast-paced world.

Class Outline

Week 1:  Introduction to Prophetic Wellness – The Fitrah Framework

This session will introduce the concept of wellness in Islam. Students will learn about the fitrah (natural disposition), how modern life disrupts it, and how the daily life of the Prophet ﷺ  models balance. They will complete a personal wellness wheel assessment to reflect on their current habits in six areas of life: faith, sleep, nutrition, movement, relationships, and emotions.

Week 2:  Physical Wellness – Food, Sleep, and Movement

Students will explore sunnah habits related to eating, movement, and sleep. They will brainstorm sunnah upgrades for three current daily habits and create their own “ideal sunnah day.”

Week 3:  Hygiene, Cleanliness & Puberty – “Tahara is Half of Faith”

This session will cover prophetic habits around cleanliness and hygiene, body changes during puberty, age-appropriate guidance, and the basic principles of tahara. Students will also create a holistic personal hygiene toolkit and plan a daily/weekly tahara routine.

Week 4:  Emotional & Social Wellness – The Heart of the Prophet ﷺ

Students will learn about the emotional resilience of the Prophet ﷺ  and, based on his example, explore emotional regulation, empathy, and ways to handle friendship challenges, family conflict, and loneliness. They will create their own Calm Kits grounded in sunnah strategies and evidence-based psychology.

Week 5:  Soul Wellness – Purpose, Worship, and Recharging Spiritually

In this session, students will explore worship as self-care, connecting with Allah ﷻ  in difficult times, and the spiritual practices of the Prophet ﷺ  that nourished the heart. They will combine and apply their learnings from the course by building a personal Prophetic Wellness Plan.
