Hifdh: Memorize with Reflection
Fall 2026
RabaTEENS is a nurturing space for deep and meaningful Islamic spiritual mentorship with compassionate and caring mentors. We design fun, creative, and positive educational experiences to help teens grow confidently and comfortably into their faith.
The Quran has the power to lift our spirits, strengthen our hearts, and elevate our ranks in the Hereafter. Hifdh: Memorize with Reflection is designed for students with a Quran recitation level equivalent to Quran 3: Flow and Fluency who are ready to begin or continue their memorization journey with guided practice, consistent support, and individualized accountability.
Throughout the course, students will work toward memorizing selected surahs and reciting them by heart to a qualified Quran teacher who holds an ijazah in Quran memorization and certification for the complete memorization of the Quran. Alongside memorization and correct recitation, students will explore the central theme and message of each surah, meaningful reflections from its verses, and techniques for connecting verses to support memorization and retention. While the course provides a shared memorization pathway, students will be supported at their own pace, with flexibility for those who may need additional time as well as those who are ready to progress more quickly.
Inspired by the words of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about the companion of the Quran being told to “recite and ascend,” this course encourages students to see hifdh not simply as memorizing verses, but as part of a lifelong relationship with the words of Allah ﷻ.
Fall Term Surahs: Surah Al-Mulk, Surah Al-Qalam, and Surah Al-Haqqah.
Please note: Registration is limited to 10 students per term.
Important: Recitation Assessment for New Students
Students attending a RabaTEENS Quran recitation class for the first time are required to complete a short oral recitation assessment with a Quran teacher. Admission to Hifdh: Memorize with Reflection requires a recitation level equivalent to Quran 3: Flow and Fluency, which will be confirmed during the assessment. The assessment will be conducted via Zoom or WhatsApp call, so please ensure the email address and mobile number provided during registration are accurate. Returning RabaTEENS Quran students do not need to be reassessed.
