RabaTEENS is a nurturing space for deep and meaningful Islamic spiritual mentorship with compassionate and caring mentors. We design fun, creative, and positive educational experiences to help teens grow confidently and comfortably into their faith.

Class Description

Ramadan is a time of spiritual renewal, reflection, and personal growth, but balancing fasting, worship, and daily responsibilities can be challenging. This class is designed to help teen girls prepare for and embrace the blessings of Ramadan while managing school, family, and personal commitments.

In addition to preparing for the month ahead, this class will provide a strong foundation in understanding the key aspects of fasting in Islam. Students will gain clarity on important rulings, explore common challenges, and discuss practical solutions to make fasting a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience. The class will also offer a supportive space for teens to ask questions, share their thoughts, and gain confidence in their ability to observe Ramadan with sincerity and dedication.

Beyond personal worship, students will also learn how to make Ramadan a truly special time for themselves, their friends and families, and their relationship with Allah ﷻ.  As the month progresses, they will be guided on how to maximize their spiritual efforts, seek the blessings of the final nights, and carry the lessons of Ramadan forward into the rest of the year.

Class Outline

Week 1: A Special Ramadan

Get ready to make this Ramadan meaningful! Students will explore the blessings of the month, learn how to set personal goals, and discover simple ways to connect with Allah ﷻ every day.

Week 2: Fiqh of Fasting

This session will guide students through a quick overview of the fiqh of fasting. We will cover the reward and place of fasting in Islam, specific rulings regarding Ramadan, actions that are required, recommended, or to be avoided during fasting, and what to do about menstruation during Ramadan.

Week 3: A Healthy Ramadan

This week, we will learn how to stay energized and healthy throughout Ramadan. We will learn practical nutrition and fitness strategies to optimize our suhoor and iftar meals, stay hydrated, and incorporate movement without feeling drained.

Week 4: Ramadan Memories

In this session we will discuss ways to make this a memorable Ramadan. We will go over ways to increase the blessing and benefit of the month not only for ourselves, but also extend to our families and communities.

Week 5: Ramadan Reflections & Rewards

As we near the last ten nights of Ramadan, this session will help to ensure that we are reaping the utmost reward. We will cover ways to benefit from every moment, how to increase our worship, types of worship we can try, and the blessing of Laylat al-Qadr.  We will close by reflecting on the month and what we have achieved this Ramadan.

  • I liked that I learned about many things and feel like I’m more ready for what’s to come.

  • I like how it was short, simple, and easy to remember

  • i loved the way anse eamaan interacted with us like we're her friends and not her students. she created a really loving and safe enviroment where it was comfortable to express our questions and doubts without being shy or worried about it.

  • i liked how Anse explained the questions people asked properly and with a good answer.

  • i love how open and freely we can talk about thing we normally wouldn’t.

  • i learned a lot from this class, and i learned what i was looking for. I wanted to know about ghusl and how to perform it.

  • What I like about this class is how Anse Eamaan taught so good I understood it so well

  • I liked that it was interactive, fun, and a safe space to share my thoughts and questions.

  • Anse Eamaan is so amazing :)

  • rabateens is awesome!

  • thank you so much for all the work you put in for us its so appreciated. jazakumallahu khair <3

  • I liked learning about what we could and could not do on our periods

  • The information was very clear, the teacher was nice, and it was a very comfortable (not that awkward) place to discuss things.

  • The way Anse explained everything was so clear and I really enjoyed every second of it!

  • I like the community and openness about this class.

  • I liked that Anse Eamaan was open to answering all the different questions we had, and I learned a lot, even though sometimes I felt embarrassed not coming in with as much knowledge about the fiqh of menstruation as other girls in the class did. I wish my mom would have talked to me about it more directly, but having Anse Eamaan to answer some of my questions felt relieving.

  • i liked how detailed the class was. Anse Emaan was wonderful.
