Class Description

Ever wonder who’s writing down your every word, or who says “Ameen” when you make du‘a?

Noble Angels: Our Constant Companions is where you’ll discover the unseen world of angels—who they are, what they do, and what do they likeand learn how to become “angel magnets.”

Together, we will focus on these noble, sinless beings who obey Allah without fail and are a core part of our aqidah. Each week will highlight the different roles and responsibilities of angels and introduces simple, practical actions that invite their presence and prayers, such as mindful speech, obedience to parents, or joining a dhikr gathering.

Class Outline

Week 1:  Who Are the Angels? Foundations of Belief

In this first session, students will explore who the angels are in Islamic belief: noble, sinless beings created from light who never disobey Allah ﷻ. They will learn why belief in angels is a core part of aqidah and reflect on how this knowledge can shape their daily awareness and speech.

Week 2:  Angels Around Us: Recorders, Guardians, Witnesses

This week, students will learn about the Kiraman Katibin, the angels who record every word and deed. They will also explore how angels attend dhikr, are present at Fajr, and protect us by Allah’s command. This session nurtures awareness of the unseen and encourages students to live with greater mindfulness and taqwa.

Week 3:  The Mighty Ones: Archangels and Their Roles

In the third session, students will be introduced to the five major archangels—Jibreel, Mika’il, Israfil, Malik, and Ridwan—and their distinct roles in Allah’s plan. They will reflect on the angels’ unwavering obedience and how they can model that same devotion in their own lives.

Week 4:  When Angels Visit: Du‘a, Death & Divine Moments

This session will explore the roles of the Angel of Death, Munkar and Nakir, and the angels who say “Ameen” to du‘as and attend gatherings of dhikr. Students will reflect on how angels are present at life’s most sacred moments, from prayer to the grave.

Week 5:  Living with Angels: Etiquette, Habits & Hope

In our final session, students will learn what attracts or repels angels, focusing on spiritual traits such as cleanliness, truthfulness, and gratitude. They will also explore the du‘a of angels for believers, leaving them with hope and practical habits to live as honored companions of the unseen.
