The Audience of One: Finding Your Worth in a World That Is Always Watching
Fall 2026
RabaTEENS is a nurturing space for deep and meaningful Islamic spiritual mentorship with compassionate and caring mentors. We design fun, creative, and positive educational experiences to help teens grow confidently and comfortably into their faith.
The Audience of One: Finding Your Worth in a World That Is Always Watching invites Muslim teen girls to explore identity, confidence, and sincerity through the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In a world where young people can feel constantly observed, compared, and pressured to seek the approval of others, this five-week class offers a different measure of worth. Through stories from the sirah, meaningful discussion, and spiritual reflection, students will discover how the life and character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ can help them understand who they are, what they value, and whose acceptance ultimately matters most.
Rather than approaching the sirah as history alone, students will explore moments from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that illuminate questions many teens experience today: Why do I compare myself to others? Why does being noticed or accepted matter so much? Who am I when nobody is watching? Through themes of hidden growth, sincerity, gratitude, character, and reliance upon Allah ﷻ, students will learn that true confidence is not built on the approval of people, but through knowing Allah ﷻ, seeking His pleasure, and developing character that remains sincere in both public and private. The course aims to deepen students’ love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while helping them build an Islamic identity rooted in faith, purpose, and awareness of Allah ﷻ.

Week 1: Before the World Knew Him
Students will explore the years of Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ life before revelation and reflect on the experiences and qualities that shaped his early life. Through this lens, they will consider identity, hidden growth, and the value of becoming rather than simply being recognized by others.
Week 2: When Being Seen Matters Too Much
Students will explore why people long for validation and recognition. Through examples from the early Muslim community, they will reflect on sincerity, hidden deeds, and the difference between seeking the praise of people and seeking the pleasure of Allah ﷻ.
Week 3: Comparison Is Stealing Your Peace
Through examples from the Mothers of the Believers and the Companions, students will explore comparison, jealousy, gratitude, and the unique qualities Allah ﷻ has given each person. They will reflect on how trusting Allah ﷻ and appreciating their own blessings can help them resist unhealthy comparison.
Week 4: Character Before Reputation
Students will explore the reputation of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as Al-Amin and consider the importance of integrity, consistency, and developing character that remains sincere whether or not others are watching. They will identify a Prophetic character trait they would like to intentionally cultivate in their own lives.
Week 5: Living for the Audience of One
Bringing the themes of the course together, students will reflect on lessons from the Hijrah and the reliance of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ upon Allah ﷻ. They will consider how to live with greater sincerity, purpose, and awareness of Allah ﷻ, and develop a personal plan for carrying these lessons into their everyday lives.
