RabaTEENS is a nurturing space for deep and meaningful Islamic spiritual mentorship with compassionate and caring mentors. We design fun, creative, and positive educational experiences to help teens grow confidently and comfortably into their faith.


Class Description


Embark on a transformative journey with The Guided Hearts, a weekly Quran recitation class designed specifically for Muslim teen girls. This year-round program offers a nurturing space to refine Quran recitation skills while fostering a deep and lasting connection with the Words of Allah ﷻ. Unlike other short-term classes, The Guided Hearts is an ongoing commitment to Quranic growth, allowing students to re-register each term and work collectively toward completing a Khitma of the Quran. Once the group finishes reciting the Quran in its entirety, they will begin anew, restarting from the beginning, embodying the cycle of continual learning and devotion to the Quran.

In each session, students will take turns reciting aloud, supported by the teacher who will provide gentle corrections and guidance on fundamentals of Tajwid. The focus on foundational and basic recitation rules ensures that every student, regardless of skill level, gains confidence and precision in their recitation. Individual progress is carefully tracked, allowing each student to improve at their own pace within a supportive group setting.  

This class aims to inspire consistency and commitment, empowering teens to develop a lifelong bond with the Quran, and to nurture self-confidence and motivation, making Quranic recitation a joyful and rewarding part of students' faith journey. Open to all recitation levels, this program welcomes every teen who wishes to strengthen her recitation skills and join a sisterhood dedicated to the Words of Allah ﷻ.

*Students are expected to be able to read and recite the Arabic letters

Session dates: April 26th - June 28th

Students must attend Zoom live sessions. Classes are NOT recorded.


*Enrollment into the RabaTEENS program is on a per-student basis. If two (or more) students are planning to attend a class together by sharing a screen, each student will need to enroll for class individually. 

**RabaTEENS programs are for girls aged 12-17 ONLY. Students are required to be 12 already in order to join any of RabaTEENS programs. 

Certificate of Participation

A certificate of participation will be given to students who complete the class.

Anse Hanisah Lia Salleh

Anse Hanisah Lia Salleh holds a Bachelor of Science specializing in Human Biology and is currently pursuing an Ijazah in Quran memorisation as well as a teaching certification with the Ribaat Academic Institute. Her Quranic journey began in Oman, where she studied Tajwid under the guidance of a teacher from Libya whose deep love and passion for the Quran left a lasting impact on her. Inspired by her teacher’s devotion, she embarked on a path to improve her recitation and gain a profound understanding of the science of Tajwid. This pivotal experience became the foundation of her unwavering commitment to Quranic studies and her dedication to sharing this knowledge through teaching. While living in Oman, she homeschooled her children in Islamic studies, taught at an Islamic school for expat children, and hosted annual Quran recitation circles during Ramadan. She also played a vital role in organizing halaqat and other Islamic events for the expatriate community in Oman. Anse Hanisah has studied under huffadh from Oman, Libya, Syria, Malaysia, and Egypt and continues her journey towards obtaining her ijazah under Ribaat’s esteemed scholars. Beyond her teaching, she is a multipotentialite with interests in crochet, baking, journaling, reading, photography, and writing, as well as a mother to three beloved cats. She also volunteers as a Ribaat course admin for the Islamic Sciences and Arabic studies and is an enthusiastic volunteer for Masjid Rabata. Looking ahead, Anse Hanisah is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Quran teachers and hafidhas, ensuring the timeless legacy of Quranic recitation continues to flourish.
